How It Works

A picture of the patient is captured using the Picture Perfect mini-cam and added to the patient’s permanent record. For each hospital admission, a wristband is produced with a bar code tied to the patient’s data and a high quality digital photo is added in less than a minute. The photo can be placed instantly, as needed, on wristbands, ankle bands, charts and ID cards. Because the image prints directly onto plastic media, the image cannot be altered with a razor blade and replacement photo — giving you added security against fraud.

Picture Perfect Positive Patient ID

With Picture Perfect positive patient ID, bar-codes can be quickly and easily scanned to ensure reduced errors at time of health care delivery as well as instantaneous and accurate data collection for the permanent patient record. And a quick check of the photo provides another level of patient security and safety, for newborns through geriatrics. Whether you are admitting dozens of patients a day from one location, or thousands of patients in multiple locations, Picture Perfect and the Health e-Connect family of products can improve regulatory compliance and reduce opportunity for error.

Picture Perfect is the perfect solution for sensitive mother/baby applications, allowing the mother’s photographic bar-coded wristband to be cross-checked against the baby’s bar-coded band and chart. The wristband can be cross-checked against a photo attached to the mother’s chart as well. This is one area where it is critical to have accurate record keeping. Picture Perfect provides the Perfect solution.

If your patient did not already have an ID, you will gather the information upon their arrival. This information along with the picture becomes a part of your facility’s HIS system.
