Denise Miano co-founded NEPS in 1988 in Salem, New Hampshire. A veteran of the property and casualty insurance industry, Ms. Miano had a vision for streamlining the document management operations of major insurance operations. From the late '80s into the early '90s, NEPS launched its first series of software solutions that dramatically improved processes for insurance policy issuance and customer correspondence.
NEPS learned two key things from its early successes:
- First, that even the best technology is more successful when supported by world-class consulting and support services, and;
- Second, that many paper-intensive organizations share the same needs for integrating and automating the document production lifecycle as the property and casualty insurance industry.
Ms. Miano brought together a team of skilled management, technology and support professionals to expand NEPS offerings across Financial Services, Insurance and Healthcare organizations. This unique and highly talented team allowed NEPS to establish a position as a preferred solution provider in their target industries and as a preferred partner to print outsourcers, print manufacturers and leading software companies serving the same markets.
NEPS entered the new millennium with over 300 clients and a network of consultants across the United States. In 2006, NEPS received growth funding from Hispania Capital Partners to support technology development and acquisitions. This investment enabled the launch of the CMX Content Integration Platform and the NEPS' Document Process Outsourcing (DPO) business lines.
In 2007, NEPS acquired Boston-based Art Plus Technology, a 20-year leader in information design, development and document strategy. The acquisition of Art Plus Technology also added the Fast2Market series of hosted annuity, life insurance and retirement services communications to NEPS DPO lineup.
In 2008, NEPS consolidated the NEPS and Art Plus Technology operations into a new, expanded headquarters in Salem, NH with a state-of-the-art-data center. NEPS continues to grow, never losing the spirit of vision and innovation that started two decades ago.
