Denise Miano, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer
Denise Miano is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of NEPS, LLC, an expert provider of communications management solutions and services that orchestrate information for relevant, personalized delivery. Ms. Miano has more than 20 years of experience in systems design and the implementation of state-of-the-art document management and delivery technologies. She is a member of the board of directors of NEPS, LLC.
Ms. Miano was the CEO of NEPS prior to its acquisition by Moore-Wallace in 1996 and spearheaded the management buy-out and re-launch of NEPS in 2004. While at Moore-Wallace, she was the Vice President of Emerging Technologies, responsible for developing technical solutions, digital offerings, and partner relationships for the company. She provided strategic systems analysis and consulting services for major customer accounts which focused on print procurement, digital technologies, and supply chain management. During her tenure at NEPS, Ms. Miano has been responsible for bringing several products to market including CMX, a content integration platform that adds support for production printing and e-delivery to content management and legacy systems.
Ms. Miano has been a featured speaker at past industry forums such as On Demand, Xplor, AIIM, and the Financial Communications Forum. She also has authored numerous articles for industry publications including Print on Demand Business, Insurance and Technology, National Underwriter, and 3X/400 Systems. Ms. Miano holds a BS degree from Merrimack College and has completed postgraduate work at the University of Massachusetts and at Kellogg University.
Rich Heuer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Rich Heuer is the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Financial Officer of NEPS, LLC and is responsible to the Board of Directors for the day-to-day operation of the business. Rich and Denise Miano lead the Executive Team that also includes Mary Hegarty and Bob Wickham.
Rich brings over 25 years of experience in finance, administration, operations, and management of small to mid-sized business, the last 12 of which he served in Executive Management.
Prior to joining NEPS, Rich served as CFO & COO of a health-care services start-up organization and spent 10 years with a $150 million IT reseller and services organization where he held virtually all executive positions including Executive Vice President, CFO, and COO.
Rich was instrumental in the profitable growth of the IT solutions business from $40 Million to $150 Million in revenue.
Mary Hegarty, General Manager
Mary Hegarty has over 25 years experience in project and program management, document and content management, and print strategy development and implementation, primarily for the insurance, financial and service bureau markets. Mary manages the delivery of NEPS' products and services associated with Communications Management group at NEPS, which encompasses Consulting Services (including Information Design), the CMX Content Integration Platform, and the SaaS hosted environments.
Prior to her position as General Manager at NEPS, she held a Product Management position at NewRiver, Inc., a provider of "best-in-class" solutions for electronic compliance and intelligent document fulfillment. While there, she was instrumental in the successful implementation of a content management/web and print on demand solution for an industry leading Retirement provider, as well as the architecting of a significant product upgrade.
Mary has previously held positions at Art Plus Technology (now a wholly owned subsidiary of NEPS) and Xerox Corporation and was also part of the original NEPS team, where she worked in both marketing and training positions. She has extensive knowledge of insurance systems, document composition and management tools, print management technologies, systems integration, and printer functionality and specifications. Mary holds a BS degree from the University of Lowell - Massachusetts.
Ms. Hegarty has been a speaker at major conferences such as the Xplor annual conference and the Financial Communications Forum. She has published multiple articles on the RFP process, from the standpoint of both sides - writing and evaluating and responding to RFPs. She is an active member of Xplor international and served as the treasurer of the Xplor Northeast region from 1990 - 1992. Mary also spends time working with the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), where she has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2000 and Board President from 2006 - 2008.
Bob Wickham, General Manager
Bob Wickham has over 20 years of experience in the document and content management industries. Starting with American International Group in 1986, Bob spent three years working in electronic policy production. In 1990, Bob joined NEPS where he held a variety of positions in engineering, implementation and sales. As Regional Sales Manager, Bob oversaw the top-performing geography for three consecutive years. In 1996, as NEPS joined Moore North America, Bob was promoted to Director of Technology Strategy. This role encompassed sales, market research, prototyping, developing new products and bringing them to market. The full complement of products netted Moore North America over $22M in profitable revenue.
In 2001 Bob joined INSCI Corp (now Clear Story Systems), serving as Vice President of Regional Sales, and later returned to NEPS in 2004, where he now serves as General Manager.
Bob earned a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Business from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire and has completed several post-graduate courses.
Brad Caudell, Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Brad Caudell has more than 28 years of print industry experience, with an extensive background in document composition technologies,
print management, e-delivery and variable digital print production. Starting with Wallace Computer Services in 1981, Brad spent 8 years
in sales and sales management before joining the Wallace marketing department in 1990 as the Financial Services Marketing Manager.
For the past 20 years, Brad has held a variety of roles, including Director of Marketing at Wallace and Vice President of Business
Development at R.R. Donnelley. During his time at Wallace, and subsequently Moore-Wallace and R.R. Donnelley, Brad has been instrumental
in the development and management of a variety of technology systems and solutions. As Vice President of Business Development, he was
responsible for providing strategic direction for the digital solutions and technology based services offerings used to help client
organizations increase their communication and marketing effectiveness. In this role, he worked closely with major organizations to design,
develop, and deploy innovative document solutions across a broad spectrum of industries.
Brad has been a featured speaker at past industry forums, including Xplor and OnDemand. He is a graduate of New Mexico Military
Institute, and served as an Artillery Officer in the US Army Reserves and National Guard.
